Description

Greenwood Park Apartments is a collection of 15 buildings, two and three stories in height, providing 122 residential units. BEC provided a performance assessment during the design phase to determine whether critical building performance deficiencies were addressed, and potential upgrades captured within the renovation project design. The masonry exterior walls exhibited signs of moisture stress and the heating system lacked any zone control. BEC assessed the enclosure, which included destructive investigation from the interior side of the exterior wall and observing water drainage from the roof overhangs. From our initial site investigation, BEC provided over 40 recommendations to the design team to incorporate in the design development. The performance facility assessment provided by BEC dovetails with the Commissioning Agent (CxA) quality assurance services that BEC are providing for the design through construction phases.
