Stoneham Public Library, Stoneham, MA

Description

The Stoneham Public Library was built in 1903 with additions built in the following decades.  In 2017 the library commissioned a study of environmental conditions which resulted in the library approaching BEC to perform a Facility Conditions Assessment (FCAs).  Moisture management, IAQ, and systems at end of life was a concern for the library. The objective of the assessments was to determine the existing conditions of the facilities and to develop a capital plan, which included an estimated service life expectancy of the systems and major equipment and a budgetary estimate for the replacement costs of the systems and equipment.
